portrait

Portraits interest me when they reveal more than just the surface. The focus is not on the mere likeness, but on what a person radiates and brings with them: attitude, identity, history, cultural background, and their relationship to their environment.

Especially in editorial, artistic, and institutional contexts, a portrait is never created in isolation from its context. People exist within spaces, memories, and social and cultural relationships. Considering precisely this is part of my work.

For me, being a visual accomplice also means paying close attention, reading situations, and finding images that are precise without becoming arbitrary or bland. This is how portraits are created that not only establish visibility but also convey presence, individuality, and nuance.
